Dr. Sabareesh.P.A  holds a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His multidisciplinary academic research at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy in JNU included areas of traditional medicinal knowledge, intellectual property rights and Indian philosophy of science with related research publications. Before joining JNU, Sabareesh has worked as a consultant with the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. Sabareesh has delivered lectures on Indian Knowledge Systems and history of science at the South Asian University, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, NIT Bhopal, IGNCA – Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jaipur Dialogues, India International Science Festival, Dehradun Literature Festival, Haldwani Literature Festival, Sangam Talks apart from various colleges and academic councils.

Dr. Sabareesh’s ancestral roots belong to Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. He was born in Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu and educated in Kerala and Karnataka. Sabareesh is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Inter-University Centre for Yogic Sciences, New Delhi. He is the author of the books ‘A Brief History of Science in India’ and ‘Our Hindu Nationhood’.
