Snehā Nagarkar is currently pursuing her PhD in Ancient Indian Culture from the University of Mumbai. She is also a Visiting Faculty at the Department of Archaeology, University of Mumbai and Centre for Hindu Studies, University of Mumbai. She has a total teaching experience of 14 years at the graduate and 12 years at the Post Graduate levels and has been in field of research since the last 8 years. She has presented numerous research papers in state, national and international conferences and has numerous publications to her credit. She has authored a book titled ‘ Ancient Indian Economy: The Role of Vārttā’ which was published by Indica in 2023. She has delivered more than 75 invited lectures. Her areas of specialization are Ancient Indic Art and Architecture specially Indic Temple Architecture, Iconography, Sthala Mahatmyas, Pilgrimage Studies, Ancient Indic Economy and Polity, History of Hinduism.
