Archana Deshmukh is a distinguished conservation architect based in Pune, specializing in the restoration and conservation of heritage sites across Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. She holds a Master’s in Architectural Conservation from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Pune University. With more than twelve years of experience, Archana directs Nasadeeya Architecture Conservation and is an empaneled architect for the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Maharashtra. Her portfolio includes acclaimed projects involving forts, historic interiors, temples, palaces, and adaptive reuse, notably the award-winning Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan Conservation Initiative in Pune. As an active member and coordinator with ICOMOS India and NSC FORT, she has led seminars and international collaborations to promote heritage conservation. Archana has also contributed to academic modules, published research, and authored chapters in “Strongholds of Western India”. Her philosophy centers on preserving historic character, traditional materials, and construction techniques, while fostering knowledge sharing and capacity building in conservation.
