Dr. Bhujang Ramrao Bobade is a renowned history scholar and archaeology expert who has made significant contributions to the heritage and museums field.
He has written books on manuscriptology, museology, and cultural heritage, including “Manuscriptology and Museology” and “Museums, Archaeology and Culture”. His research focuses on preserving India’s cultural legacy and promoting awareness about the importance of historical preservation.
Dr. Bobade has conducted online courses on museology and archival science, covering topics such as collection governance, museum documentation, exhibitions, and conservation.
Through his work, Dr. Bobade aims to sensitize students, faculty, and the general public about the significance of preserving India’s rich cultural heritage, including archaeological sites, temples, paintings, and other historical artifacts.
He serves as the Director of Archives and Museum Department of the Deccan Archaeological and Cultural Research Institute (DACRI), at present he is Member of International Council of Museums and also a Member of International Council on Archives. He is a Member of Academic Councils and Board of studies for many Central and state Universities in India and abroad. He is founder of Heritage Foundation which is promoting research and education in heritage studies.
