Dr. Guha is a Author – Quantum Physicist also an Adjunct Professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies Bengaluru and Assistant Professor at Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, Delhi NCR. Having completed his doctorate from Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, he has been an institutional postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Indian Institute of Science – Bangalore (funded by the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India) and a postdoctoral associate of Nobel Laureate (Physics, 1973) Prof. Brian Josephson at the University of Cambridge. He has been a Trinity Barlow Scholar (2015-2018), Nehru Scholar (2014-2018), INSPIRE Scholar (2011-2014) and TIFR NIUS Fellow (2012-2014).

IHAR – World Heritage Day – April 18th 2025 updates

On the World Heritage day 18 Apr Indian History Awareness and Research – IHAR scholars & experts, organised & participated in nationwide efforts to connect with the students community for the propagation & understanding of Cultural Heritage through multifarious efforts starting from Heritage walks, quiz competition, story telling sessions, classroom presentations & interactive museum visits Pan India. A total of 400 students were tapped in, nationally along with their parents, teachers & other faculty members, making it a memorable one in every sense.
IHAR also launched its Maharashtra Operations & Chapter on this special day under the leadership of Dr Ujjwala Khot Palsuley. As a run down to the Maha Khumb of 2025 IHAR also launched its Heritage Walk series in Prayagraj on the World Heritage Day. These nation wide efforts received blessings from the seers & monks of Prayagraj & from the Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham from Kanchipuram. We take this opportunity to sincerely thank our team members who toiled hard on a scorching summer day Prasun Roy Pallab Mondal Sumit Kumar Ganguly Shiva Ji Shivam P Trivedi Shivam Dubey & Dr. Mrittunjoy Guha Majumdar to name a few without whose leadership this would not have been possible.

The Annual Conference of the West Bengal Chapter of IHAR (Indian History Awareness and Research) featured a distinguished lineup of speakers who reflected on Bengal’s glorious cultural heritage.

The second panel in this series focuses on the diversity of traditions and festivals in Bengal. About the speakers: Prof. Probal Roy Chowdhury – Director, Centre for New India Studies, Sister Nivedita University Dr. Amitava Chatterjee – Professor, Kazi Nazrul University Surya Sarathi Roy – Heritage Conservationist, Historian, Author, Director IHAR (N. India) Moderator: Suropriyo Chakraborty – Research Scholar, Sister Nivedita University 

Second Panel Discussion (Event April 18th)

The second panel discussion of the day of this Annual Conference dwells into the deeper understanding of Cultural Heritage spanning across not only Tangible & intangible heritage but also Natural Heritage as well. The UNESCO definition of Cultural Heritage sites which empowers the focus on the Outstanding Universal value based on which decisions are made to declare a site as a UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the aegis of ICOMOS, is also covered with a reflection of the team working behind this.

The session also spins a mesmerising web around the significance & importance Of our Cultural Heritage Corridors in reconstructing our history of architectural, spiritual, art, linguistic,epigrahic, numismatics, chronology & performing arts heritage spread across both rural & urban India in all its colours & glory. Much of India’s history & heritage resides in oral traditions, folktales & legends also, which this discussion brings to foray for the audience thereby stitching together a complete understanding of Heritage & its significance in maintaining our civilizational ethos

Indian History Awareness and Research – IHAR team conducted a fascinating educational session on the 64 Yogini Culture & Temples of Madhya Pradesh to immortalize the inclusion of the 64 Yogini Temples of Bharat to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The session was attended by students of Archaeology, Tourism & History & appreciated by the Joint Director of Archaeology MP Govt. Sincere thanks to Directorate of Archaeology, archives & Museums for this opportunity to contribute to the Shakta Worship continuity of Bharat & upholding it’s richest legacy, heritage & traditions.
